Star Wars actor Jake Lloyd, who played Anakin Skywalker, ‘arrested for reckless driving’

Star Wars’ Anakin Skywalker has allegedly been arrested for reckless driving.

Star Wars actor Jake Lloyd has reportedly been arrested for reckless driving, resisting arrest, failure to stop and driving without a licence.

Fans of the franchise will recognise him as playing a young Anakin Skywalker in 1999’s The Phantom Menace.

TMZ say the 26-year-old was driving in Charleston, South Carolina, when sheriff deputies attempted to get him to pull over. The chase that ensued apparently lasted for ‘miles, into another county.’

The actor, who has also appeared in Jingle All The Way, is said to have been driving at high speeds and reportedly lost control of his car, crashing through a wooded area and hitting several trees.

TMZ adds that Jake is currently in custody.
